West Loop Community

The West Loop

The West Loop neighborhood has transformed drastically since its beginnings as an industrial warehouse area into one of Chicago’s chic areas for living and dining. Former factories and wholesale markets have become loft condominiums, boutiques, and art galleries. It is bordered on the north by Fulton Street, on the south by Congress Parkway, on the east by Halsted Street and on the west by Racine Avenue.

Known as the Loft District of Chicago, homeowners will discover spacious residential spaces with large windows, and unique floor plans. Residents of the area are extremely diverse. However, there are several young families calling the West Loop home since there are local public and private schools in close proximity. Furthermore, since the West Loop is close to the Loop many professionals are also living in the neighborhood. With all of this diversity, this community is also home to some of the city’s latest and most acclaimed food destinations, along with well-loved classic diners and brunch spots that have delighted regulars for decades. The West Loop is certainly one of Chicago’s cultural hubs.
