Lakeshore East

Lakeshore East is a hidden gem as it is a village situated between Lake Michigan, Michigan Avenue, the Chicago River, and Randolph Street in downtown Chicago. Condominiums, penthouses, apartment homes, Parkhomes, shops and recreation all create the perfect neighborhood. There are restaurants overlooking the Chicago River, and shops along Columbus Drive and Randolph Street. New Eastside

Community Features

  • Nestled with in the neighborhood is Millennium Park. This recreational area offers a six-acre park, kids’ playground and access to nearly all of Chicago’s events.
  • A dramatic row of eight buildings, designed between 1912 and 1929 by Marshall & Fox and Fugard & Knapp, embodies the city’s luxury apartment expansion of the early-20th century. The architectural details and embellishments are derived from historical styles found in England, France, and Italy.
    • Chicago’s infamous pedway is conveniently located nearby and offers access to Chicago’s Loop without encountering the seasonal weather.
    • For those who enjoy the arts, history, or science, The New East Side is within walking distance of The Art Institute of Chicago, Orchestra Hall, the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, and the museum campus.
    • The New East Side also provides instant access to marinas, and to the walking and biking paths that are located along the Chicago River and Lake Michigan.
  • Aqua, one of the high rises, was designed by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang Architects to look like water is running down the sides. The whole area has an appropriate nautical theme, since it is in close proximity to Lake Michigan.
  • For Chicago Bear fans, a short walk along the lake on will transport you to Soldier Field.
